WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that everything that pertains to life and salvation can be found within its pages.

2 Timothy 3:14-17

We believe that Christ was born of a virgin.

Matthew 1:23

That He bore our sin on the cross.

 1 Peter 2: 24

HOW WE STARTED

In 2014 two of our college students approached elder Paul Wallis with the idea of starting a college program They didn’t want just a class but an actual program that gave the students a chance to be more involved. Although not completely sure how to start and run a college program, Paul took the idea before the rest of the elders and gained their full support.

The original group was made up of around 10 members mostly from the Jonesboro area. They spent their time together going to Redbird games, bowling, and having devotionals and bonfires at the Wallis’. A trip was taken to inner city Little Rock to work with a homeless shelter and assist those in need.

Yearly weekend retreats started that allowed time away from the busy college life while allowing you to connect with each other and more importantly with Christ. A college adoption program was established that allowed our college students the opportunity to connect with a church family and add to their support group in the church.

God has truly blessed this group both in numbers and in those with a desire to seek and to serve others. Today, our Sunday morning class will average 30-40 and Wednesday evenings will be between 50-60 with certain events drawing 70+.

We are now known as “The Bridge” with the idea that we will help bridge the gap from high school to adulthood will keeping Christ as your focal point.
